Q: Is there a real reason why men like to check out women’s breast and tap their butts?
Because I can’t think of any other reason besides men being perverts.

A: Honestly I don’t blame guys. It’s their instinct. I ask my boyfriend why question all the time. Like “Why do you think I’m beautiful” Then he lists it and then i ask him why. He usually tells me i don’t actually know why i just do.

Q: Can man get breast cancer? If they want to get check early if they think they have breast cancer?
Do they have a mammogram done too as well? I’m not trying to be funny but I’m just curious.

A: Yes men do get brest cancer, It is not as common as with women and it is a condition that is very unreported and is not discovered until a secondary cancer is detected, most commonly in the bones,

Breast cancer in men can be detected using an ultrasound and a biopsy to any lump or mass detected.

Q: How to check that you don’t have breast cancer ???
Hello,
Iam affraid about breast cancer. How to check that we don’t have it? and how to have care to not have it? Please, help. Thanks.

A: It depends on how old you are, and what your risk factors are for getting breast cancer. Some families have the ‘breast cancer gene’ which means that this kind of cancer tends to strike early and is more aggressive. Other women don’t get breast cancer until they are post-menopausal. These cancers tend to be slower growing, for the most part.
Your individual risks will depend on the following:
1) Has any of your first degree relatives (mother, sister, aunt, grandmother) had breast cancer before age 50?
2) Do you have a history of colon cancer in your family? (The two genes are linked)
3) Are you taking hormone replacement therapy if you are a post-menopausal woman, or had your ovaries removed during a hysterectomy?
4) Do you examine your breasts on a monthly basis?
5) If you are over 40, are you getting annual mammograms?
You cannot eliminate the risk of breast cancer, you can only reduce your risk factors. However, the fact is that more women die of heart disease and stroke than breast cancer. What are you doing with your life to lower your risk of these diseases? Are you eating well, exercising, controlling diabetes?

Q: Men : Do you check your breasts for lumps since males can get breast cancer ?

A: i just did it now…..thanks for the reminder

Q: Is it normal to get bumbs on your breast before/during your menstration?
I’m 17, about to be 18. I gave myself a self-check breast exam, checking for any irregular bumps and I noticed that I have one bump. I told my mom about it and she told me that its normal to get them right before or during your menstration. Is she right?

A: I am the same age and I have the exact same thing and my mom says it’s normal. Mine get really tender and I get lumps in them and then they go away about half way through my period. It’s just hormones. I was really scared when I discovered them. But if you’re scared and aren’t sure you should still see a doctor just in case.

Q: How can I check to see if I’m producing breast milk?
I’m 8 months pregnant and I’m concerned my breasts aren’t producing any milk. They don’t feel full, and there doesn’t seem to be any signs of leaking whatsoever. This is my 3rd child though it’s been 14yrs since I was last pregnant. I was unsuccessful the first two times which has me a bit frightened.

A: Even though this is your third child, that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll leak before the birth. I wouldn’t worry too much about that, but instead focus more on reading everything about successful nursing (try Dr Newmans Breastfeeding Book or anything La Leche League recommends), so that you have a better chance of nursing this baby. :) Education is power!!
Good luck girl.

Q: Does Medicare gives any refund for MRI for breast check under 50 y.o? Any other suggestion for Breast Check?
Hi there,

I am 29 y.o and had been having some calcification in my breast tissue and have had my mother passed away from breast cancer. I have been going to a specialist and mammogram for the past 2 years. I’ve just had another check up today and the result came back with slight changes with a bit more calcium in the same breast. He suggest that I should do a MRI for my breast since it was too dense and I am still young. I would like to know if the Medicare covers some of it or do I have to pay for all of the cost since I am still under 50 y.o? Also can anyone give me some suggestion to other alternative? I.e if I am able to just got to the GP in the public hospital (Sydney) so I can do it a lot more cheaper than having to be referred by the specialist because I have already paid so much to see the specialist. I know it is not a matter of money if it comes to health but I would like to know if there is some other step that I could do to save me some bucks since this is going to be an ongoing thing. Thank you all for the advise and help in advance!
Just an add on I live in Sydney, Australia and hoping someone in Australia with medicare knowledge could help me with this question. Thank you.

A: Medicare would not cover at all unless you’re disabled.

Q: Self Breast check details?
I have looked on line for self breast checks but none really explain how to know when something is normal or wrong. Can someone, preferably with experience, explain? I am concerned because the side of one breast is a little sore and this is unusual for me.
the pain is really on just one side. I am not on my period or pregnate

A: It all depends on how old you are, how big your breasts are and wether you have been pregnant, as breasts feel different at different stages of a womens life. The most important thing is to know your breasts, what they feel like – before and after your period – and what they look like while looking a mirror relaxed. any changes in symetry, dimpling of the skin, discharge from nipple or aereola needs investigating.
Its best to check your breasts in the shower w soapy hands, after you have had your period. If you have large breasts it is sometimes easier to check them while lying on the bed.
Hope this is not too much info.

Q: breast exam at pediatric yearly check up?
I read online somewhere that once a girl hits puberty, she must have a yearly breast exam. I hit puberty last year and i am going to the pediatrician in a month. I am 15 and my doctor is male. How will he go about doing this?? what exactly will happen? and, what should i expect to do?

A: It won’t happen. You have absolutely no risk of developing breast cancer at this age. Unless he is a pervert.

Q: Is there a web page that i can get a free breast cancer check thing that hangs in the shower?

A: You have 2 free ones hanging at the end of your arms-your hands. Learn to do a breast exam and hopefully it will save your life.
