A: better go HCG blood test,it wll clear ur tension.

Q: Ovarian Cysts or other reasons!!!!?
Why would a pregnancy test and a bladder infection come back negative and the doctors can only say to stay away from caffenine? They found an ovarian cyst on the right side that they say is really small and will go away on its own. But then why call and tell me a day after a pregnancy test came back negative to stay away from caffenine. Please help me I am getting irrated at the doctors because I still feel like crap and I have for over a month and I told them that.

These are the symptoms: tired, sore breast, heartburn, a period that lasted only two days and was very light which is not normal for me (I have been heavy for the last 13 years and pass tissue every month but not this month), hot sweats, nausea really bad, and feeling really sick and out of it. PLEASE HELP!!!

I would have conceived from August 22 to August 29.
The bladder infection test came back negative too. So I was given no prescription.
I am not trying to get pregnant. And thanks to everyone for their comments. I will look up all the information on ovarian cysts. I was just irrated that they didn’t explain anything to me. All they told me was that I had a small cyst and they would go away on their own. (This was about 2 weeks ago) And then today they called me a told me to stay away from caffenine and no reason why. Thanks for your help.

A: Because too much caffiene can not only aggravate Ovarian Cysts, but it also is being linked to some of the causes recently. Many studies have shown that women who follow a caffiene-free diet, have had serious progress with their cysts shrinking. That is why it is IMPORTANT to stay away from the caffiene.

A lot of your symptoms described there can be explained by your Ovarian Cyst. There’s no reason to be irritated with your Doctors as they have diagnosed you and are giving you the right information that you should truly follow.

If your tests came back negative for the bladder infection then you don’t have one. But the cyst may be pushing up against your bladder causing similar symptoms. Honestly look up some information on changing your diet to help shrink the cyst but only follow what you check with your doctors on.

Q: i am paranoid about pregnancy?
for the past two months i haven’t had my period. i had an ultrasound done after i missed my first period to recheck an ovarian cyst and there was no sign of pregnancy so i know i wasn’t pregnant in march. well, i missed my period last month too. i have missed periods before on this pill but it was awhile ago. in april i was super stressed with finals and starting a new job but i took a clearblue digital test a week after i missed it and it was negative. i figured i was ok and then tried to put it out of my mind. my next period is due in 3 days and i have some normal pms symptoms (breast tenderness) but i also noticed that i have to pee very frequently (but i also have been drinking more fluids and caffeine). i have taken my pills on time, never more than 2 hours later than my regular time. my boyfriend and i usually use condoms but there were a few times that we didn’t use them this month. does it sound just like stress/pms or pregnancy? should i wait a few more days and test again?
i don’t have cysts anymore, after my last appointment the dr said i was clear.

A: more than likely stress. stress can do a lot of weird things to your body.

Q: Early Pregnancy symptoms vs. ovarian cyst symptoms?
In January my doctor figured out that i have multiple ovarian cysts, occasionally i get pains from them and odd symptoms. But I’m also trying to conceive,i’m just confused about if the symptoms i’ve been having are from the cysts,or could actually be early signs of pregnancy? For the past week i’ve been having odd hot flushes and headeaches.Excess CM, the clear/white milky kind. No sign of infection,no itching or anything like that.Moments of dizziness. I’ve been absolutely starving, and exhausted, today I fell asleep as soon as i got home, and didn’t wakeup for 5 hours. My breasts have been extremely sensitive, and there may be some darkening of the nipple area.Mild cramping throughout the last week.Period has been slightly irregular due to coming off of ortho evra patch, only on patch for 5 days before taking it off(made me sick),so i don’t really understand. very light period on May 5th.I realize that the timing may be a bit off,but i’ve never experienced symptoms like this before.

A: Sounds like pregnancy signs to me. You can check webmd.com and type both pregnancy and ovarian cyst in the search and see what is says.It may give you a little more clarity. Or try to take a hpt too!

Q: how does we know when the lumps/cyst on the breast turns /became cancer?
My friend have found solid lumps on the side of her breast. She was afraid it will bcome cancer…What is the symptoms?

A: Solid lump in the breast may or may not be cancerous.
she should see her doctor.

Doctor will perform biopsy (fine needle aspiration or needle biopsy) which will be sent to the pathology lab to examine under microscope for definitive diagnosis.

Q: Ovarian Cyst Symptoms?
I haven’t had my period since May 25th, and for the past three months I’ve been told assume that I’m pregnant until confirmed otherwise. I’ve had no confirmations at all, and just today I was just told by my pathetic excuse of a doctor, that weight gain, food aversion, smell aversion, increased appetite, heavy achey breasts, ance breakouts, constepation, hot and cold flashes, mood swings, bloating, and no period are all causes of PCOS and/or an ovarian cyst.

Is this true?

I haven’t had any pain or discomfort in my pelvic region, nor do I have any unusual raised areas where a cyst could be, so to me these are pregnancy symptoms. I’ve had normal and regular periods for 10 years now, not missing one.
I know that PCOS and ovarian cysts cannot develop overnight, or even within a week. There’s just no way. My GYNO doctor would have detected any abnormalites when I had my annual pap towards the end of May.

Can anyone give me some detailed information (if you or a family member went though it) on these conditions, and other possible symptoms?
I’ve seen a doctor 3 times within the last 2 months, and all all 3 visits (including today) I was told to just continue on thinking that I’m pregnant. My temp. doctor now just wants to give me a shot of progesterone to induce a period and restart my period…(without even checking to see if I’m pregnant or not).
Since I’m military (spouse), I cannot switch doctors. I have to be referred.
I did take a test. The period I missed was supposed to be June 22. I took a HPT 4 days later. Negative.

A: PCOS isn’t something that’s detected in your annual exam, but IS very easily detected in an ultrasound. If it’s PCOS, you’ll see what looks like a string of pearls on your ovary.
I’ve had PCOS for many years and have always had regular cycles, I just don’t ovulate regularly, there’s a BIG difference. It’s also not always easy to tell if you’ve ovulated or not.
I also wasn’t having any symptoms of PCOS when I was diagnosed, I just happened to be having an ultrasound and the doctor found it.
I don’t understand why you didn’t just take a pregnancy test when you first thought you were pregnant? It’s probably too late for one now, after a few months your pregnancy hormones decrease and you stop reading positive even if you are pregnant. I personally think it’s stupid advice for a doctor to tell you to just assume you’re pregnant – they make test to confirm things like that. Why he woudln’t just give you a simple blood test so you’ll know for sure, who knows.
As your doctor for an ultrasound. If it’s PCOS, you’ll see it right away. If you’re pregnant, you’ll also see that right away. Good luck. Try not to stress too much over this. An ultrasound will tell you everything you need to know.

Q: Can a cyst in my uterus cause irregular bleeding and breast pain?
I went to the gyno yesterday because of some suspicion of pregnancy. She said she saw nothing but detected a cyst which she believes was the cause of my late period (it arrived 9 days late and was pretty heavy). Now my breasts are starting to hurt. They are not sore or heavy but feel bruised when I touch only the top part. I doubt this is period symptoms because I shouldn’t be expecting my period for another week. Can the cyst in my uterus be causing these breasts pains and the irregular period?

A: Breast pain would be highly unlikely. Period irregularity can sure be caused by the cyst.

Q: I have a question in regards to breast pain..
Since some time, I have been having pain on my right side. It starts in my right breast and radiates to my back, and sometimes starts in the back and radiates to my breast. It’s a slow throbbing pain that is usually there even when I am sleeping. There are times however when it will go away, but it is sure to return. Lately, I am also having some nausea and headache that accompany this pan. Please also nots that I have had a Mammogram performed on me 3 months ago and that was normal. My doctor seems positive from the test that it’s not Cancer or anything like that and the problem is probably musculo-skeletal related. However, for my peace of mind, she recommended an ultra sound that I want to take soon. My questions is if any of you know of any breast diseases that can cause symptoms similar to mine without it being Cancer? Could there be cysts hidden deep down in th breast that can rupture and cause this type of pain with the infection spreading to other parts of of the body through the blood stream (explaining my headaches, etc)? If you are a Healthcare person and see my question, I would truly appreciate it if you can answer my question or anybody at all that can give me any helpful advice as this pain is really getting worse as time passes interfering with my day-to-day activities during the day and my sleep at night and it’s some time still before I can have my ultrasound.

A: Blood work would show if you are septic and ultra sound- good idea.I have cystic breast disease which is better when i don’t drink caffeine and take good care of myself.Breast massage is good if no cancer present.Massage in general is excellent and I do both.Good luck

Q: Please help, premenstrual syndrome woes?
Hi,
I suffer from moderate to bad PMS problems.
I’m 20 years old and here are my symptoms.
*Breasts: For five to six days before I start menstruating my breasts become hard as rock (no exaggeration) and hurt. To top it off around the last two days of PMS my nipples seem to fill up with liquid and stick out. Basically, my boobs become like two tumorous masses that I fantasize about cutting off for about a quarter of the month.
*Face: I get severe and relentless acne during PMS time. The rest of the month my face spends clearing up only for it to break out again around that time of the month. I’d love to travel. Unfortunately, my once a month, week of puss and mountain cyst face keeps me away from adventure- or anything that might keep me away from privacy, warm running water and mirror.
*Emotion: For about three days I am insane, angry and believe I am too ugly for words.
*Balance, perception: For two days I become very dizzy and have difficulty concentrating. The room actually spins a bit. My balance is impaired throughout PMS and I, a normally graceful woman, look and feel a like clumsy circus bear.
*When my period finally comes around these things clear up immediately and are traded in for excruciating “cramps”. These are fine as long as I have a supply of pain killers. I only mention to menstrual cramps in case they are somehow related to the PMS which causes the real problems in my life.
Isn’t this wonderful? I’ve been suffering from it for almost 10 years now.
Is this a nutritional problem, allergy, hormonal imbalance, incurable? What do you think?
Please try help if you can. Much appreciated and thanks for reading.

A: Calcium and Vitamin D seems to be the one thing that has the most research behind it in terms of reducing PMS.

Here is just one study I found on Google Scholar

Q: diagnosis is (pregnancy, paranoia, ovarian cancer or cysts?)?
For the last month and a half I have felt just awful to say the least.
Nasuaiated-mostly in the morning, afternoon and at night- and head aches to start with and now you can add lower back pain, lower abdomin pain(during intercourse sometimes) constant urination (I was just checked for diabetes two months ago so thats not it), I can’t get to sleep but when I do I can’t wake up-so i am tired,, but stressed-, have a sudden need for a bowell movement, swollen breasts, more emotionally sensitive and when I don’t have idegestion, I have heart burn.
So heres more background info,
I am on birth control, but I assume it is a low dose because it is for acne and not sex.
I always forget it. I forgot it about four times last month.
So obviously I’m used to taking two in one day, but the other day when I did this, I threw up a few hours later(when I woke up the next morning) and felt fine afterwards.
My boyfriend and I have regular sex, usually about five times a week, no condoms.
I took a pregnancy test three weeks ago, one of those really cheap ones with the lines, it had a negative indicator when I opened it already on there and when I peed on it I waited thirty seconds and threw it away assuming negative-probably should’ve waited a bit longer.
Anywho, while on the time supposed to be for my period, I was three days late-a little later then usual- and only spotting or very light bleeding until I had sex, then I bled alot for a good fifteen minutes and it ended.
Now everytime I take my birth control I get sick to my stomach.
I looked up symptoms of cysts and ovarian cancer and I fit some syptomes, but I fit alot for pregnancy to.
Any doctors or nurses in the house that can help?

A: I’ve only read about half of what you’ve written..
I don’t know what is wrong with you, but I do have a question.

If you are so concerned that something is going on, why not go to a real doctor, instead of seeking help from strangers off the internet?

Q: Am I pregnant or do I have an ovarian cyst?
I’ve had ovarian cysts in the past and though PCOS was suspected, it was never confirmed. I’ve had two that ruptured in the last year. I’ve sworn that I was pregnant, but I could be wrong.

First day of last period was March 25.
Most fertile was during April 9-10. Had unprotected sex on the 10th.
No menstrual period, but I have always have had irregular periods though. I have never had PMS symptoms like this before; in fact, I rarely ever have PMS symptoms.
Current symptoms:
(1) Extreme breast tenderness. Nipples are constantly erect and very sensitive. Breasts have enlarged. Areolas have somewhat darkened and enlarged. So tender I had to stop working out.
(2) Unbearable nausea at all hours of the day. I have only been nauseous when I’ve been on a boat; never before period.
(3) Fullness in the lower abdomen that I cannot suck in. Very odd sensation. When sitting down, my ab muscles contract and tense and then I relax them and this fullness in my pelvic increases and a wave of nausea hits me.
(5) Heightened sense of smell. I’ve been more aware of my body odor to the point where I’ve had to ask my friends if they can smell me. My favorite perfume makes me sick now.
(6) Fever today.
(7) Increased vaginal discharge. Thin and watery. Sometimes whitish. Sometimes there’s so much, I have to change my panties.
(8) Irritability and mood swings.
(9) Acne flare-ups.
(10) Two days ago and yesterday, there was a strange fluttering in right my ovary. Has primarily vanished now.
(11) Constipation.
(12) Night sweats.
(13) Very light brown spotting this morning.
(14) Stretching feeling on the sides of my abdomen.
(15) Felt pressure on my right ovary this morning.

-Took two Clear Blue Digital tests yesterday afternoon, drank a lot of water about an hour before hand, both came out negative.
-Took one this morning and it came out negative.

First symptom was breast tenderness on Monday, then came the nausea–both of which I have never had when I had my other cysts. Fullness has come and gone but it feels very different–not painful, just there.

A: Could be pregnancy or something else. Talk to your doctor.

Q: Breast pain question
Since some time, I have been having pain on my right side. It starts in my right breast and radiates to my back, and sometimes starts in the back and radiates to my breast. A: that sounds terrible i hope you find out what it is, i have no clue i even typed in you symptoms. good luck and feel better!

Q: Ovary cyst symptoms or pregnant?
I am 3 days late now, never missed a single one!
I started getting cnstipation/gassy kind of cramps? or af cramps that felt like pulling in my uterus. it has calmed down alot now.
I just started feeling sick about a week ago and it comes and goes, today is the first time I have had nausea during the day. usually it happens at night around dinner time.
I also have VERY sore breasts, they hurt when I lay on them, touch them and even sit up to use the restroom. I havent been peeing alot, not that I have noticed but i have been very emotional. lastnight I cried for no reason, and I have been snappy.

are these a sign of pregnancy? early stages around 1 month or so?

1. nausea, lack of hunger or wanting diffrent foods and getting sick when thinking about others

2.constipation/gas

3.cramping/ uterus feels like it is being pulled down (almost like I need to use the restroom)

4.drinking tons of water

5. snappy/emotional

6. tired

7. hot flashes after dry heaving

or are these a sign of a cyst?

A: i think you might be pregnant
the main signs of early pregnancy are tiredness, cramping and lack of hunger or wanting different foods, emotional and some women do experioence a gases as well
so i think you are most likely to be pregnant
just to be sure if you now are missing your period this is a great time to do pregnanct tests – is perfect time to do that !
believe me people here might say different stuffs so dont believe in everything they say
if the test will came up positive you will have your answer
hope it helps

Q: What are the symptoms of cervical cancer? I understand it sometimes has no symptoms. But does it ever?
Is it painful? The doc says I have cysts on my uterus and ovaries as well as my liver and pancreas and in my breasts. I’m getting an endoscopic ultrasound soon but wanted to know from others’ experience.

A: the most important thing to do when you are at risk for cervical cancer is to get your regular annual pap smears….EVERY YEAR! This documents abnormal changes in your cervical cells. Your doc could also do some blood tests that actually test for cancer. Good luck.

Q: Weird Symptoms–Ovarian Cyst or Pregnancy?
Ok, so I have already set up an appointment with my doctor next week, but was hoping somebody else maybe had some answers to help ease the stress..

Symptoms:
Headaches (uncommon for me)
Absence of a period (however i am on birth control which causes me to have irregular periods)
Sore breasts
Soreness/Achy pain in lower back
Cramping in lower abdomen
Bloating
Fatigue
Nausea
Dizziness
Weakness
Low blood pressure
Etc..

So these are some symptoms I have been experiencing the past few weeks. I don’t have all these symptoms everyday, but these are symptoms I have been noticing at least several times in the last few weeks.

A: Having gone through both (had a dermoid cyst and several fibroid cysts and being pregnant now) I can tell you that it could be either or neither. It could also be a kidney or bladder infection.

Hopefully you have a good doctor who will just order an ultrasound to confirm one way or another. It took me 3 years to convince my GYN to do an ultrasound when I was having that kind of pain and irregular periods. Turns out I had a softball-sized cyst growing in my left ovary that had to be removed via surgery–I survived, and was still fertile. Just request the ultrasound to be sure.

Now that I’m pregnant, I can relate to all those symptoms so that’s also a possibility. If you’re feeling those symptoms now though, you should be able to take a home pregnancy test and see if that’s what’s going on. If it’s negative, then there’s still the chance of an ectopic pregnancy that will have to be confirmed/debunked by ultrasound.

Best wishes for a good diagnosis.
